Adjacent molars feel hard and tight

I had extracted my upper right wisdom tooth on last Thursday. It's been a week and I still feel the stiffness and tightness in the first and second molars. Whenever I close my mouth, it is hitting so hard and tight. I feel the bite is so hard. The upper molars hit the lower ones that side very hard. I couldn't chew anything because of this even on the opposite side. So eating only very soft foods which easy to swallow for a week. Like mashed rice, vegetables, puddings. Is it normal or do I need to go back to oral surgeon to check this? My molars were tight and hitting hard even before the extraction since I was having lower jaw pain and swelling issue for last one and a half months. But even after the extraction, it continues and it is worse now. Why the upper molars feel so tight and stiff while closing mouth? What to do for this? And I couldn't feel this in lying down position. Only upright apart from lying down. I am not closing mouth at all when I am awake. please help.
