Adenoid swollen

3 year old son has adenoid swollen, grade 3 as mentioned my Pediatricians. No complaints from him as such. He is on steroid nasal spray for 2 months. What's the other option than surgery? Does it get better with age.

Most important  thing is what difficulty  your child is having..  does  he is having difficulty in breathing at night , does he snoar at night  ... is he dull   and irritated. Having frequent runny nose , ear ache .. if he does have complaints that  mean  he is not getting  good quality  of  sleep which  requires  surgical intervention ..but if no above complaints then you continue  steroid nasal spray

Continue the steroid nasal sprays for 6 months, then repeat Digital X-Ray of Nasopharynx to ascertain size of adenoids. This will guide your Doctor on right course of action.
Health Tips
whenever he is prescribed any medicines, check if any of them are antibiotics and if so, what is the full course which you must complete to avoid antibiotic resistance. It is these superbugs that colonise the adenoids and tonsils and pose a risk to your child in future by attacking your child's vital organs!
