Ma'am you should re-visit the treating dentist or an oral surgeon for proper diagnosis of the cause of pain . Because slight discomfort is there in a 3rd molar extraction but you are taking medicine every 4-5 hr then you should consult.

The pain might be because of the condition called alveolar ostitis (dry socket) that is a provisional diagnosis. Examination and proper history should be taken before coming to final diagnosis. If it is alveolar ostitis dressing should be done either by BIPP paste (bismuth iodide and paraffin paste). Or ZOE. Visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon pain will subside after 3 to 4 dressing.
