Acne break out on face

2026-05-15 08:19:22
I am a working professional working in the education sector. Since Aug '25 I am experiencing acne break outs. Every time I have 2 acne on my face. I am trying my best to control it. When the current 2 acne goes with care then the other 2 come somewhere on the face. Continuous break out. I am doing skin care and trying to control it. But is there any way to get rid of it?

This appears to be recurrent mild-to-moderate acne, likely related to excess oil production, hormonal fluctuations, stress, cosmetics, diet, or skin irritation. Acne often improves gradually and usually needs consistent treatment for several weeks rather than short-term spot treatment.
Next Steps
-If acne is persistent/severe: consider hormonal evaluation, thyroid profile, or PCOS assessment if periods are irregular -Morning: -Benzoyl peroxide 2.5–5% gel thin layer once daily over acne-prone areas -Night: -Clindamycin 1% + Benzoyl peroxide gel once daily for 6–8 weeks -OR Adapalene 0.1% gel at night (start alternate nights if sensitive skin) -Use gentle face wash twice daily and non-comedogenic moisturizer/sunscreen -Avoid frequent steroid/fairness creams on face.
Health Tips
-Do not squeeze or pick acne lesions to avoid scars and pigmentation -Avoid oily cosmetics, excessive junk food, high sugar intake, and poor sleep -Change pillow covers regularly and keep hair/scalp clean -Acne treatment usually takes 6–8 weeks for visible improvement, so consistency is important -Contact me anytime on Practo for further consultation.

This specific pattern—where acne appears in a '2-on, 2-off' cycle for over nine months—is a classic presentation of Adult-Onset Acne. Unlike teenage acne, this is often driven by hormonal fluctuations (even subtle ones) or persistent inflammation of the sebaceous glands. While the previous opinion suggested they 'will come and go,' the fact that they have been cycling since 2025 indicates a systemic trigger. It could be related to stress-induced cortisol spikes, dietary sensitivities (like dairy or high-sugar intake), or even 'Acne Cosmetica' caused by an over-complicated skincare routine that is damaging the skin barrier."
Next Steps
To review your current skincare products and discuss a targeted 12-week plan to break this cycle, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."
