Ovulation usually happens about 14 days before your next period (not from the first day of your last period).
How to calculate:
Note the first day of your last period
If your cycle is 28 days → ovulation ≈ Day 14
If your cycle is longer/shorter → ovulation = cycle length − 14 days
How to track accurately:
Use a period/ovulation tracking app
Watch for fertile cervical mucus (clear, stretchy like egg white)
Use ovulation predictor kits (OPKs)
Track basal body temperature daily
Next Steps
Track your cycle for 2–3 months
Have intercourse every alternate day during the fertile window (5 days before + ovulation day)
Health Tips
Cycles may vary due to stress, illness, or hormonal issues.
If cycles are irregular or you’re trying to conceive for >1 year, consult a gynecologist.
