Ideally HPV vaccine is given to girls before puberty or at least before they have had their first sexual experience. HPV infection is acquired by sexual intercourse. For others the vaccine can be given after testing the woman for HPV infection. You can take this vaccine only after testing yourself for HPV infection. If you have never had HPV infection in your life then you can have H PV vaccine.
