Abdominal pain

I have been having some pain in my lower left abdominal area, like 3 inches below the belly button and about 4 inches left of it, the pain comes and goes but it is not too severe, it is like maybe a 2 or 3 out of 10 scale, I don't really know if it is related to the king of food I eat or what can be causing it. When I eat, the pain goes away, when I haven't eaten it goes away, it is not on the stomach, please provide some advice, thanks. L.A.

Left sided abdominal pain can be due to gastritis, left sided colitis ( infection of colon) or may be a muscular pain. If it's in loin or slightly lower back then it may be due to left kidney stone. You need to go for a ultrasound of abdomen to rule out above problems . feel free to ask any further quary
