No both are different because HbA1c is the average blood sugar level with in 2_3 months. And fasting sugar means what is sugar level at your fasting time.

No they are not. The hemoglobin A1c test tells you your average level of blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months. It's also called HbA1c, glycated hemoglobin test, and glycohemoglobin.
