8 week pregnancy with no fetel pole and

My wife's  first trans vaginal scan showed 98 bpm heart at 6 weeks pregnant but now at 8 weeks another scan fetal pole and heart beat is absent our doctor says chances are low,what should we do she still has a chance of a healthy pregnancy?
