Consult a dentist & get your x-ray done for that tooth to know the position of the same ,then plan accordingly whether to remove or to leave it .

Try rinsing with hot water and salt.

Erupting 3rd molar or wisdom tooth is often associated with repeated episodes of pain & discomfort. Most commonly the flap of skin covering the tooth gets infected resulting in pain, swelling & difficulty in mouth opening. Please visit a dentist who will put you on a short course of antibiotics & pain killers. If the problem is recurring in nature, then it would be prudent to get a X-ray done to check the status of 3rd molar. At times it is advisable to get it removed.
