27 weeks pregnant
Hi mam
I am currently 27 weeks pregnant . Did cervical cercelage done at 14 weeks due to incompetence cervix in previous pregnancy. Now cervix became short and mild funneling. Cervix length now is 12cm . Stich is in situ. What can I do now ? Currently am progesterone tablets n injections.. how many weeks shall I prolong? Currently in bedrest. Shell I go use washroom? Take baths ?

At 27 weeks, a very short cervix with funneling despite a cerclage requires close follow-up with your obstetrician/fetal medicine specialist. Please confirm whether the cervical length is 12 mm (1.2 cm), rather than 12 cm. The stitch being in situ is reassuring, but further management depends on your symptoms, ultrasound findings and examination. Continue progesterone exactly as prescribed; the duration and type should be decided by your treating obstetrician.
