Alocet XL syrup for baby
Hello Dr, My son is 5months old weighing 7.2 KGS. He has cold and cough so doctor has given ALOCET XL syrup (2.5ml twice a day). Is this dosage high or ok for 5montgs baby. Bcz he is very drowsy after giving this medicine. Plz guide

hi!, yes madam all antiallergic medicine makes you drowsy. . since you got the drug , give only 0.5ml of the drug. if he does not require don't give. you can give saline nasal drops locally sos. ADD vitamin C 100mg tab , mash . it and mix with filtered clean water and feed direct to baby only for 5 days. you get cecon drops also . you can use instead of tablet.

The dose is ok The medicine itself cause sleepiness Make sure the child takes feeds normally and voiding urine 6 to 8 times per day
