Allergy + GERD
After 6 months of delivery, I shifted to a foreign country. I developed unstoppable coughing. After 1 month long medication, I was ok. However coughing would come back sometimes. 1.5 years after returning India, I got blood allergy tests done. ENT specialist got Chest X-rays done but it werr clear. Allergy report showed S. IgE: 73. IU/ML Overall results, bengal gram1.40, chilli pepper1.10, tomato1.30, yeast1.60, guar gum1.20, house dust mites3.00, storage mite1.20, house dust1.70. Dr. suggested me not to take medicine but to avoid all these allergy causing items. Dr. said I also have GERD making acids rise up the foodpipe causing coughing.A chemist suggest me to try taking Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg Tablets 3 times a day for a week wherever cough. It works well most times. But due to lockdowns, I have clean house myself and hence come in contact of Dust mites causing sever dry coughing with NO sore throat. What exactly is my issue and what's the medication?

The only way to avoid getting the allergy is staying away from the source. If you are getting allergy then antihistamines are the only options.
