As my mother had swelling in hand legs and little in stomach area doctor advised creatinine and serum test all values are in Norma range except alkaline phosphate which is 299 Doctor has written next for ultrasound to see any liver problem we are seeing a general physician still do we need to Switch to any specialist or What other tests can prove the problem please

Hello..... Increased alkaline phosphatase with normal other values suggestive of obstructive jaundice.... Ultrasound is required to know the cause for obstruction , it could be external or internal obstruction.... You can consult general physician (MD),if it's surgical procedure you should consult general surgeon.
