Adema caused by Norvasc
Ever since starting the calcium channel blocker Norvasc I have had significant swelling in my hands, legs and feet. Also have a really swollen belly. Can this medication be stopped abruptly or is it necessary to be weaned off of it?

Amlodipine can cause swelling in limbs. Reduce your dose to once daily or half of your normal dose. You might require additional antihypertensive s to control your swelling. Get a RFT, serum electrolyte and CBC done. Consult with me online for further evaluation
