Hello Doctor,
I have been on medication from last week.
The tonsils pain has reduced but I still feel pricking in the throat due to which unable to eat.
How much time it takes to get back to normal
Please advice after care so it does not repeat.

You might have suffered from viral pharyngo-tonsillitis for which you may have taken treatment. Now you may have developed post viral apthous ulcers of the throat which can be painful while swallowing. Usually it will resolve on its own within few days. You can take symptomatic over the counter analgesics
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
