Acute Pancreatitis
Hi, My dad was diagnosed for acute pancreatitis a month back. He was hospitalized for a week. He had a history of gallstones(still present). Doctor suspect it may be because of gallstones(but no proof it). He was not operated that time as there was a multiple organ failure and he recovered after a week. And also he was not fit for surgery. Now doctor says he is clinically ok and recovered and the gall bladder has to be removed. Is there a way that this can be controlled/treated without a surgery?

Most common cause of pancreatitis is presence of gall bladder stone , which slips into bile duct and then block the opening of pancreatic duct. It is advisable to remove the gall bladder. Best time is after 4-6 weeks.
