About tetanus injection
I get a cut in my left hand thumb from sharp edge of tile (stone)
I wash the cut , stop bleeding , apply dettol liquid on it and wrap a bandege around it. Even then i am worrying about it and it become more than 27 hours from injury. Can i still take a tetanus injection. Also i want to for how long remain effective against tetanus. Is there any vaccination which give long time prevention from tetanus.

If previously had proper course of immunization with tetenus vaccine,booster is required every five years. In non immunized person single vaccine does not prevent tetanus occurrence ,a full scheduled course has to be taken before it offers long term immunity,
