  4. About stitches. It was very painful!

My son got hurt he had cut on his chin then I went to hospital Dr. Was not there but nurse operated my son without giving anesthesia she gave stitches which was very painful my son was cried Very much so I want to ask for stitches nurse should give anesthesia ..or not...my son was cried alot it was very painful

Hi thanks  for writing to Practo consult. If its small wound with only 1-3 stitches one may not give 2 extra prick's to anaesthetize local area. But if more than 4 stitches required I would give local anaesthesia.
