What you perceive as cure for 2-3 weeks is not Cure but mere relief from acute pain from fissure. The Fissure remains as such an will remain till something is done to break the fibrous bands in the crack of fissure by dilatation. All precautions to keep your bowels moving regularly and softening the stools will have to be continued thereafter too. Eat high fibre diet lot of leafy vegetables, stool softners if necessary, if diabetic may need prokinetic drugs. Consult further if desired.
