Hi, with history provided by you it appears he might be having possibly delirium (acute confused behavior) , please consult nearby good psychiatrist needs detailed evaluation that is cause of delirium and can treated easily if it delirium.

Please talk to your father's friends OR Colleagues and find out that there was any problem which he is facing. It could be related to off OR some financial problems or anything which he is not able to resolve by himself.
