Hi Patients with Irritable bowel syndrome can have a triggering factor for their symptoms most commonly stressful lifestyle. Various diet modifications can also help. Patients with  colonic polyps can develop polyps again but since you have mentioned your HPE report showed that it was a Tubular adenoma as your doctor might have explained that it is benign and your follow up colonoscopy turned out to be normal. As a routine you do not require a repeat colonoscopy again and you can wait. You can continue to take the medications as per your doctor's advice as they will alleviate your symptoms . How ever if your symptoms do not subside after taking the treatment for 2 weeks consult with a gastroenterologist
