8 mg dexamethasone
I am 30 yr old girl with 84 kg weigh and 5.7 ft
During my covid i used to take 8 mg/ day (4mg in morning and 4 mg in evening) dexamethasone for 10 days my HRCT value is 11 and i am in home isolation.
Is 8 mg dexamethasone is high dose of steriod .
My hba1c is 5.5

Yes it is high dose of steroid. But depending on the severity of symptoms, steroid should be prescribed as hrct score is moderate severity. Your hba1 c is normal.
Check for sugars fasting and postprandial during the usage of steroid. There can be raise in sugar levels during steroid usage. Levels get back to normal after stopping ur course of steroids
