59 yr male, prostate growth 39ml
Father in law was having painful urination for past few days. Today the ultrasound scan revealed, abnormal prostate growth. [Benign prostatic hypertrophy with median lobe hypertrophy leading bladder outlet obstruction with bilateral hydronephrosis.
Prostate size is 42 x 39x 43 mm, volume 38 ml.
My queries are?
Is surgery the only option for this?
How long can we wait? He has to travel to Bangalore from Pune on Saturday, is it OK if he undergoes the surgery on Monday/ Tuesday?
