50 days old baby don't make eye contact
My baby is 50 days old and doesn't make eye contact. Always look at the wall or ciling or fan. I try to make eye contact by holding very close but baby look here and there. Is it normal for the baby as my baby born in 36 week and 2 days. When baby will start making eye contact and when baby will start smiling

If the baby is interested in ceiling and fan , that means eye vision is normal. Babies start eye contact and recognising mother by 3 months. After being 9 months in mothers womb, it takes time for baby to adjust to new environment.
Next Steps
Wait till the baby is 3 months, even then if there is no eye contact please do consult doctor.

Try showing high contrast colour objects/ cards to baby from a distance of 10-15 inches.
