26 yo w/ pmr/gca
6 months ago I developed an excruciating pain in my left eye. Diagnosed with scleritis and put on low dose prednisone. Felt some relief but the pain was still unbearable. ESR came back 46 so they eventually diagnosed me with PMR and GCA. Started on methotrexate and pred bumped up to 60 mg. Eventually tapered off pred and stopped mtx. Now it’s flared up and I’m back on pred. Everything seems by the book clinically but I’m only 26. Should I get a second opinion? Could it be something else?
