My mom has a 16.0*16.0*9.5cm cyst in overy right abdomen.. Is it possible to remove with laproscopy.. Is this cause to overian cancer.. Pls suggest...

although by the looks of it,it does not look malignant but considering the age get a CT-MRI done and serum ca 125 done and let us know

Surgery is indicated simple Hysterectomy with bilateral removal of ovaries and fallopian tubes -if ovarian cyst comes out to be normal Radical Hysterectomy (wider excision)is done if malignancy is suspected In our settings in such a case we do a frozen biopsy sampling at the time of surgery and accordingly proceed for surgery
