100 fever from 3 months
Dear sir/madam, my wife consulted doctor for fever.doctor wrote for following test. Tested at lab dt on 21/3/2016---Report QBC HEMO PARASITE :negative(malaria parasite),negative (MICRO FILARIAE) TYPHOID RAPID TEST :POSITIVE(IgM Antibodies),negative(Ig G ANTIBOFIES) .After tests doctor given medicine and after 20 days he given Sepamax 500 Tablet and continuing the same tablet dialy 2 times till today and my wife suffering with fever (100 degrees )till today.we consulted doctor dt on 25/5/2016 again he wrote for test Test report:negative (IgM Antibodies),negative(Ig G ANTIBOFIES) but daily 100 degree fever continues till today from last 2 months.Kindly suggest for what reason for fever and also any other tests required?what is the type of fever?or any another problem?kindly suggest.

Hi there I understand your concern.... A fever isn't necessarily a cause for alarm. Fever seems to play a key role in fighting infection. Persistent fever can signal a hidden infection, which could be anything from a urinary tract infection to tuberculosis. In some cases, cancerous (malignant) conditions such as lymphomas cause prolonged or persistent fevers, as can some medications..Consult physician they will do the needful.

Hi there.. I can understand your worry.. fever for 3months should be evaluated properly.. she needs intravenous antibiotic injections as oral tablets not working.. she needs to get blood culture and sensitivity then depending on what organism and which antibiotics it's sensitive to, then we can give that antibiotic.. she can get widal test done to see whether she still has typhoid..
