1.5 Months Baby Cardiac Arrest Due
Hi experts, my 1.5 month baby had severe coarction of arota by birth and had Cardiac Arrest in Operation theatre for 20 mins. Post hospitalization all her day to day activities seem to be normal. Dr has advised for an MRI which we are yet to do. But based on your past experience, what are the chances of brain injury and is it treatable ? Please answer. We in trauma with all that has happened during the past few months. Thanks in advance.

When cardiac arrest occurs, the blood to the brain stops, they would have started recussitation measures asap. Still, hypoxic injury to the brain can occur which can be seen in Mri. This is in general for any cardiac arrest. Need to know the clinical condition  and do a Mri to look for hypoxic injury.
