1.5 month old baby not passing stool
Hello My daughter of 1.5 month has not passed stool in last 7 days. She has been taking her feed normally. She is also passing urine well. Her TSH level were checked during birth and were normal. Plz let me know if it is ok for infants to not pass stool for so long. Also what to do so that she passes stool. Plz guide me

You have not mentioned whether she is breastfeeding or other type of milk Also I want to know other symptoms like pain abdomen, vomiting, distension of abdomen etc. What was the previous pattern of stools

you may give fruit juice 30 ml daily no laxatives put a rectal thermometer inside anus if giving formula, check if it is property prepared

No need to worry Exclusively breastfed babies can pass stools once in 7/8 days The fact that urine is good Feeding is normal It means no major cause of concern You may stimulate anal area by use of cotton wick
