Dr. Lakhbir Kaur Dhaliwal

Dr. Lakhbir Kaur Dhaliwal is an infertility specialist and reproductive endocrinologist in Chandigarh with 45 years of practice. She consults at Fortis Hospital in Phase 8 and is senior consultant at Milann, The Fertility Center, Chandigarh, having earlier been professor and head at PGIMER, Chandigarh, where she set up the first IVF centre in a public sector teaching hospital in India.She completed her MBBS at Government Medical College, Amritsar, in 1975, her DGO at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, in 1977, and her MD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same college in 1979. She has been registered with the Punjab Medical Council since 1975. She has guided 60 MD and PhD theses in obstetrics and gynaecology, delivered the KGMC Founder's Day Oration, received best paper awards at national and international conferences, and organised national and regional conferences, live surgical and ultrasound workshops and CMEs in the specialty.Her work covers infertility evaluation and treatment including IVF and natural cycle IVF, high-risk pregnancy care, diagnostic hysteroscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy and myomectomy, and fibroid and ovarian cyst surgery.
