Dr. Tathagata Chatterjee

Dr. Tathagata Chatterjee is a Psychiatrist, Sexologist, De-addiction Psychiatrist based out of Salt Lake City, Kolkata. Practicing in the field of Psychiatry for the past 7 years, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, KPC Medical College, Jadavpur, Kolkata where he enjoys teaching students at both UG & PG level. Hailing from a family of doctors, he recollects that he forever wanted to be a mental health professional with one of his primary objectives in life being to try and achieve de-stigmatization of mental illnesses. Apart from general psychiatry, Dr. Chatterjee’s areas of special interest include Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Disorders, Sexual Disorders, Addiction Disorders (including new-age addictions such as Internet Addiction, Gaming Addiction, etc.) & OCD.He is also a CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) specialist, having been trained from the famous Beck’s Institute of Cognitive Therapy, USA.He is also the founder-director of Sahayta Clinic, a multi-speciality mental health clinic in Salt Lake City, Kolkata.He is a consultant psychiatrist at Suraksha Diagnostic & Polyclinic at it’s Kasba, Salt Lake JC Block, Kestopur & Kankurgachi branches.
