MA - Psychology
I am a Counselling Psychologist working with the Central Social Welfare Board, Government of India. I have a Master's in Psychology from Panjab University and a Post MA Diploma in Professional Counselling and Psychotherapy with work experience in the domains of emotional issues, de-addiction, and marital therapy. My practice is based on using evidence-based therapeutic measures to help individuals overcome their issues and build resilience. I use Client-Centred Therapy along with Mindfulness-Based Intervention Techniques. I'm well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I integrate several theoretical frameworks in my practice to provide my client with the best treatment possible.
I had always fretted when it comes to therapy because of bad experiences in the past (finding a good therapist is a gradual process of trial and error) but I'm glad that I took a leap of faith with Miss Rachna. She's extremely professional, empathetic and makes you feel safe and heard.
It was a good experience overall. I came to doctor rachna with lots of crisis happening in my life. During these times of covid i realised how much important our mental health is. Also, i have learnt alot from her. She holds a good experience and knowledge as a psychologist specially in field of marital and relationship counselling.
It was my first session, and Ms. Rachna was quite democratic and person-centered in her approach. A little too directive for me, but some people come to therapy for directions, right?
She did a fairly good job.
What I think did not resonate well with ME was- I prefer that the therapist hears me out first, which was less for me, I probably had a lot to say. It was just the first session, and I prefer non-directive counseling entirely.
Anyway, the best part was- she focused on the here-and-now which was commendable, she seemed solution-focused and client-oriented.
I've had multiple therapy sessions with Ms. Rachna Lakhanpal. It's been quite good so far. This is the first time I have taken therapy, I feel better.
I dealt with a lot of issues, after visiting her things started changing. My life started feeling a lot better. She is very soft spoken and makes you feel comfortable for sharing everything. She understands what you feel and how now to feel bad about it. Her prescriptions and tips helped me a lot to recover.
I was going through tough phase in my relationship and so I was given reference of Ms. Rachna Lakhanpal by one of my friend's. She helped me to overcome those issues through her sessions and really helped me a lot with my relationship being back on track for good.
Very professional, sincere and helpful. Not only did she precisely highlighted my issues, but, suggested some wonderful workable solutions! In my case - it's still a work in progress, but, so far it has been helpful and motivating.
Has been a very good experience. Doctor is insightful and good at articulating these insights in an efficient and non judgemental fashion. She takes time to listen and then replies without interrupting in between and is overall very friendly.
I recommend Rachna for depression and anxiety counselling. I came to her in a very bad emotional state and she helped me overcome a very tough time. She has helped a lot and I will always be thankful to her.
I really had a good experience with ma'am. She helped me sort through my issues and gave me much-needed insight. Will be booking more sessions with her
