Our female indie dog has had persistent gastro problem for the last 2 years, since she was 6 months old. We had tried various tests at different cities and
transferred her finally to gastrointestinal wet food. This is very expensive, and
even then we needed medication, and the problem still recurred after 2-3 weeks. Dr Thakkar's diagnosis was simple - maybe the dog is intolerant to non
veg, and cannot handle some of those proteins. Shift her to veg food and observe. This may seem odd for a carnivore, and maybe that is why we had not tried it. This seems to have worked - at least for 4 weeks now. The dog is happy, active, and gaining weight slowly. We are relieved, and expenses are under control! The doctor's insight was remarkable. The clinic is very friendly too.
