This helps in offloading of traumatic experiences and burdens and thus helps in better treatment absorption. I have had experiences with different mental health specialists but this area, the ability to listen without judgement, was missing in many and I am finally glad to have found it in Mayuri ma'am. It also helps that she is extremely kind with her words and never judges a patient's past, however embarrassing or problematic it may be. She understands her patients innately and thus is able to deliver good and highly relevant feedback for them. I have yet to see any of her suggested methods not work for me. She is extremely practical with her approach and her foresight which helps in making highly achievable short-term goals for the patients. She also makes sure to be completely invested with her attention on what the patient is saying, which gives them a confidence boost. She also doesn't disclose information between patients as both me and my parent visit her separately and have not a clue about what goes on for the other. She highly respects and adheres to patient confidentiality. I am looking forwards to getting better and better under her care and I hope that many others like me, who just needed someone to hear them out and to be reassured, can receive the fruits of a healthy mind with her.

Depression is real it shows it ugly face when you least expect it. It started with me not able to talk with anyone about anything. I was so confused and my mind told me repeatedly that I wasn’t of any use and good at nothing. had never believed such things in past. But this was my own mind telling me how to refuse it. I started to hear my parents tell me that how I am a burden. This went on for a year. I left to live in a hostel to avoid taunts. I just didn’t know what to do. Sudden fear started and that was my breaking point. I knew I had to meet a doctor. My friend helped me meet doctors. I met lung doctor & heart ones. Every one told me it’s stress. Medicines given to me increased my fear and increased voices that became daily. Then I met this psychiatrist. I didn’t know what schizophrenia was. She was patient and heard me. Within one- two meet with doctor my medicines helped. And I was able to feel like myself. It took me one month to overcome it completely. My life has turned around now. Now I live with my parents again without the voices. I have been lucky with my parent and friend support. Doc also helped me accept myself and what was happening. I am grateful for her picking my calls when I was in a bad phase and she always answers my doubts on WhatsApp or call.
