Dr. R. Vidya Rama

I delivered my first child in June 2020 at Medicover hospital (previously MyCure) under Dr.Vidya Rama. I came to know about her from Practo, after much research. I was looking for a doctor who would not dismiss my questions as just "Google leads" and would motivate for a vaginal delivery. We visited her in my 8th month of pregnancy. She told us to limit our visits due to the Corona virus situation and readily shared her WhatsApp number to ask in case of any questions. My daughter had 2 nuchal cords in my 38th week ultrasound, but Dr.Vidya didn't try to scare us or suggested a C-section, while one other doctor which we were consulting simultaneously did giving the same reason. Dr.Vidya was also extremely patient with me during my delivery when my daughter had unexpectedly turned the wrong side during pushing. Her staff and she both kept encouraging me. She allowed my husband to be in the delivery room for the entire time of my labor. After the delivery, the staff members periodically came to my room to check upon us. The staff, the doctor and the management, my husband and I are happy with all of them.

Doctor is so busy but its worth waiting. She is very friendly and greet everyone with smile. Mostly she preferes normal delivery for pregnancy which is why we preffered her. We are from Vizag but both working in Hyderabad. We heard about this doctor through my friend and visited her in 8th month of pregnancy. She has given the delivery date for 13th but little pain has started on 11th and immediately we visited hospital. Doctor came immediately, checked her and said that this is false pain and nothing worry and also suggestted to back to home and come on 13th. If the same case has happened with other hospitals then they will insist you to join immediately and you will be charged for each day you are in hospital. I admitted my wife on 13th and by evening she had a normal delivery as everything went well. We didn't get a room but doctor has helped us in getting a room. We suggested this doctor to my cousin for normal delivery. My Cousin situation didn't go well at the time of delivery as the baby is in upright position but doctor and their team had worked hard for 2 long hours to bring back the baby to normal position and made it normal delivery. Who will wait for 2 hours on one patient. Isn't this enough to know about this doctor and Hospital. I strongly recommend her and this Hospital.Hospital has few cons like inexperienced/fresher nurses through which we find some difficulty on nights or on the times where doctors are not available but still these type of things looks very little when we have a safe delivery.

I had visited Dr. R. Vidya Rama for a pregnancy consultation. Overall, it was a good experience—the doctor was kind and professional. However, I faced some issues with the scan process. The reports were not provided on time, which caused a delay, and the scan, which was expected to be done by the doctor, was handled by a junior staff member instead. This was a bit disappointing, as I believe such important scans should be conducted by the concerned doctor for better accuracy and reassurance. Overall, I am somewhat satisfied, but there is room for improvement in the reporting and scanning process.
