It has been a year since I have visited Dr Atray Bhatt for the first time. I have been diagnosed with certain life style diseases that have no permanent solution in medical science Irritable bowel, acid reflux & its effect on respiratory system as well as rectal issues like fissure. Earlier I took the route of naturopathy for my issues as these are all non treatable diseases (lifestyle diseases) as far as modern science is concerned. It was effective till the time I got pregnant, but once I delivered, situations worsened, the changes in my body and the hormonal imbalance post delivery negatively effected my already sensitive digestive channel, not only my previous symptoms came back but new things cropped up like Food allergies, utricaria and painful piles and insomnia to an extent. After failing attempts with other treatments, I went to Dr Atray, who suggested me to get my mind strong first, because most of my ailments were related to unsound mental health. We started with Shirodhara and within a week I could see difference in my sleeping pattern, more sound sleep. After that we went for Basti and it improved my rectal issues to a great extent. Now I am taking medications and diet plan suggested by him since past one year and my complains have been in control. In fact I could eat outside once in a while with his medication continued (an unachievable dream for me) Not that I am cured completely, No I am still waiting for that miracle to happen for me (yes I have heard he has done miracles for people) But ofcourse I can lead my routine life without allopathy medicines. The symptoms do relapse at times and very badly and I sometimes loose faith in ayurveda but he keeps on telling me that I can be cured and so I am still on my journey towards getting disease-free. Will update here first thing when that happens :)

One major plus point, Dr is very patient, listens to all your complains, even if you are rattling nonsense at times, available on phone all the time (I stay in Pune) and is has a very positive outlook. Also unlike other traditional medical practitioner, he would go ahead for the medical diagnosis and findings and then relate it with Science of Ayurveda and treat it accordingly. Very important for people like me!
