I was going through a challenging phase of life; on one hand, a sudden change in my health, and on the other hand my mother was gradually progressing towards terminal stage of her illness. Situation became tough and I started feeling low, I had to seek help. Physician prescribed medicines, but it didn’t help. What I appreciated the most was the direct confrontation. As a person, I'm really stubborn so it would take a authoritative figure to get things through me. Someone who says things for what they are and let me know the stakes at hand. But she is also really supportive at the same time. You don't feel like you're alone and that does help a lot. We have had so many encounters where we both would just sit silently and not say a word but just know that someone is there. It makes you realise the value of having someone and also makes you realise it's not just about words or speaking. Sometimes just being is enough. And she will definitely be there.
