His areas of Interest are :Evidence based good clinical practice, Organ preservation in Cancer Therapy, Treatment with Technical advances in Radiation therapy, Breast, cervical, Head and neck cancers,Brain tumors and GI Malignancies.
Being the Head of the Department of Oncology, he has been instrumental in establishing the Brachytherapy Unit and a dedicated Day Care Unit for cancer patients at Tanjore. Being the lead , his involvement also extends to setting up SOPs for the the department , quality training programs in the NABH accreditation processes along with CAHO/QCI programs.
