Dr. Virendra Patil

I was sent to Dr. Patil by another doctor (Dr. Lokesh Bhama). Dr. Patil has seen all my reports and started his treatment. After taking tablets for few weeks, I started feeling better and I became completely alright in 2 months. I am thankful to Dr. Lokesh Bhama and Dr. Virendra Patil Sir. He is young and very dynamic.

Doctor is highly proficient. Doctor has prescribed me a very effective treatment for hypothyroidism and hormone replacement therapy for menopause and my health has significantly improved ever since. I really appreciate the fact that Dr Patil keeps track of patient's treatment and health personally and also explains everything clearly. Friendly and approachable too.

He is thoroughly professional and at the same time approachable. He clarified all our doubts regarding the medical condition to oru satisfaction. Gave us confidence to deal with the health issues by guiding us properly. My mother's condition has bettered over a period of quick span of time..all thanks to him. Grateful to have got acquainted with Doc Virendra.

I am a regular visitor of Dr. Patil. I found him well up to latest knowledge in endocrinology. He give suffient time to explain. Appreciate his way of satisfying patients. When i visied him first time, HbA1C was above 10 and glucose level throughout the day was around 200. Now it is 6.2 and 120 respectively.

An experience to remember so I thought of sharing it. I have met many many doctors in my life but never one like Dr.Patil.

My son has been suffering from severe digestion issues for quite some time now and had been recently diagnosed with male pattern balding. Hence I thought we can see a few specialists to get their best opinion in order to get my son the help he needed.

Being new to Thane I resorted to the web to find the best endocrinologist as I wanted to know if my son's balding and growth had been hampered and if there was anything that needed to be done.

I called Dr.Virender Patil's clinic (Doctor's Planet, near Korum Mall) and was given an appointment. But I had to wait for almost an hour before I could see him. I was with my son and eldest daughter and to pass our time we went about measuring each other's height and weight.

Our turn finally came. So I went in with my son.

We greeted Dr. Patil by wishing him the time. And after a few moments he asked about my son's height which we said was about 162-163 cms. He directed him to his staff to take the measure again and the measure came back as 164, (this is untrue!, but we would like to ignore this for now)

I began to explain to Dr.Patil about why I had come to him and about my son's health so far. I asked him if because of issues like acidity, the feelings of not being able to completely empty his bowels everyday, the male pattern balding, had anything to do with his height, his hair etc..

What Dr.Patil went on to say during this interaction left me stunned.

I went on to explain to the doctor that my son barely eats anything, to this he replied, that's ok as per his BMI, "you don't want him to become like you!" At first I thought I didn't hear him correctly.

He pointed out my weight more than once and I was not the patient! Not knowing how to react to this and feeling terribly humiliated, I told him that I suffer from hypothyroidism and he quickly retorted that, hypothyroidism is not the reason for my weight gain!

Ignoring these comments of his I began to show him reports that were advised by Dr.******** ***** ** ******* ********* in the year 2018, Dr.Patil quickly dismissed the reports saying "these reports can be prescribed by any GP!". If there was an option to give a lower rating I would have given it. Doctor gives sufficient time for diagnosis and makes you understand the root cause of the problem. He makes you comfortable and explains the steps to be taken. His confidence makes you feel that you are at the right place and following his advice will certainly cure the problem. He clears all the doubts and you come out of his cabin more stronger and determined.

My mom was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes with fasting score at 260 and post lunch at 385. HB1AC score was 12. And then we consulted Dr Virendra Patil and with his dietary guidance and medication, within 2 weeks my mom's fasting and post lunch sugar was 95 and 151 respectively. He is a very calm person and a great doctor. Thank you so much Dr Patil.

He explained the issue very well, main thing he has not made me frightened with diesase. There need to follow certain care and medicine.

My wife was detected pituitary adenoma(Acromegaly) in the month of February 2021.We visited Dr. Virendra Patil at Doctors Planet Thane, he suggested us to go for surgery at KEM .We planed surgery in the month of March 2021 and surgery was performed in the same month, before the surgery Growth Hormone (GH) and IGF-1 level was 100 and 997 respectively. Just after 5 days of surgery and treatment by the Dr.Virendra Patil sir GH drop suddenly at 0.41 and IGF-1 level at 147and all the symptoms are minimized .This was happened with the suggestions and treatment prescribed by the Dr. Virendra Patil .In this month her GH is 1.47 and IGF-1 level is 197 and overall health is good without any medicines .She is under treatment and observation under the Dr.Virendra Patil at Doctors Planet Thane. I'm thankful to u I will be under your debt forever
