Dr. Mandar R Gadgil

I am 62. In November 2017, I had a severe stomach pain and the Gallstone of 14 mm size was detected. My family doctor prescribed some medicines and suggested me to have an expert medical advice from a specialist. He suggested the only and one, Dr. Mandar Gadgil.

I was very definite on having the Homeopathy treatment and found many more treatments on NET for dissolving Gall stone. But pains made me to think of visiting the specialist, Dr Mandar Gadgil

Before taking an appointment, I was suspicious about Dr Mandar Gadgil’s experience. I wanted to have a treatment from a senior doctor. But to my surprise, when inquired, I found that, he has a good name and fame in his profession. My senior friends advised me that we should respect the skills of the youngsters.

When I personally met him for the first time, I liked his approach to understand the patient’s complaints and views. He listened to me without any disturbances. Then he explained me my Health issue diagrammatically and functionally. But his words were very friendly. The explanation was so impressive that I began to fear if I am agreeing with all his words. When could not argue, I took a stand that I have some commitments and I need at least 15 days’ time for decision. He quietly gave me a five-day course and wished me a Good health.

I even didn’t think of a second visit. But…On 27th Feb, the stone changed the position and the health issue became very critical. I was unable to decide whether I should stand, sit or sleep. That day I visited his clinic as if I am visiting a temple. First of all, he made me felt that my life is in safe hands, then made the hospitalization arrangements with my permission.

The operation was successful and he thanked me for the cooperation. It was a laparoscopy with four incisions. His words during his routine visits were so encouraging that I regain my confidence within two days. On the third day I got the discharge and within two weeks I could drive a motor car.

I am lucky to have satisfactory treatment and… and the fees were reasonable.

Dr Mandar Gadgil is busy for 12 to 14 hours a day, with offering his professional but friendly services to the needy patients.

Dr.Mandar Gadgil is a gem of a person, a "messiah" for people like us.

I remember that time when I went to him for consultation, I was very much sacred wrt my problem---but the way he welcomed me with a warm reassuring smile into his consulting room ---took away half my tension.

He then went on to explain how the surgery is going to be performed in very simple words and without using any medical jargon.

** ** ** ********* ************* ** he had promised, I just did not feel any discomfort or uneasiness after I was brought to my bed from the Recovery Room.

I also observed that he has an excellent rapport with various other Doctors and technicians who would be supporting him in the surgery.

He also too very good post-operative care. Did not load me with unnecessary medications .

He did not ask for unnecessary "follow-up visits"

To some of my questions he would say----"Your body should be your guide".

It was our first time when we got our son Amod admitted to sapatnekar hospital as he was suffering from appendicitis.

The first time when he checked my son thoroughly. I could not that not even he is expert ** *** ********** ****** but as well he explained all of us what he is going to do which was more promising.

Dr Mandar is not only a gifted doctor but also a wonderful human being. He took care of my father as his own father. Many doctors in the area consistently assured my that my father was in very capable hands. This was very evident in the face that my father was up and about within 24 hours of his surgery. He not only explained the procedure to us but also made sure to calm our nerves. His commitment to his work is phenomenal and his follow up process as well is very commendable. Most importantly he has great value for time which is quite rare in most doctors. Thank you Dr. Mandar...keep up the great work.

Dr. Gadgil had done my Laparoscopic BL Inguinal Hernia Repair operation on August 11, 2017. The operation lasted for nearly 90 minutes. The operation and other procedure were nicely & systematically done so that I was discharged only after 1 day's stay at hospital. I visited him 3 times before and 2 times after operation. I observed he is very punctual, strictly adhered to his timing of appointment. The computer savvy doctor gave me various printouts prepared by him regarding hernia, pre and post operative instructions etc. By going through his detailed booklet I learnt a lot and made up my mind. His approach to the patient is very informal one and like family member/friend.

First time I was visited currae hospital and consulted Dr. Mandaar Gadgil sir and he suggested to operate hernia laparoscopy surgery.

I was impressed with his knowledge, experience and his confidence level and decided to operate under him only.

I had undergone surgery last week and surgery was absolutely fine. Second day I discharged from hospital and pain was also negligible. He was committed me to start normal work from 4th day and allow to drive 4wheer too. As per his commitment and confidence, I am satisfied and recovered on 4th day. I have started driving on 5th day.7th day I have driven 70 km.

I Had Pilonidal Synus. At first I was not knowing anything about this. He explained me very well about the synus. After the surgery, he removed all roots of synus so that again it wont happen. Actually my wound was too big so it took time to recover. But every time i visit him for dressing he use to treat as if he is patient n feels the pain.

Dr Mandar diagnosed the condition correctly at first go. He explained the condition to me very clearly on every visit. It helped in increasing my confidence in the treatment. He tried with medicines first and didn't rushed in for surgery. His aim was to remove fistula in one operation only. So he waited till it was absolutely necessary to operate so that fistula matures and can be removed in one go. He achieved removing fistula in one surgery and with minimum wound.

Dr Mandar as well took into account my parents Amarnath Yatra and timed operation so that I was in position to take care of myself while they were on tour.

I have recovered well under his treatment. After 15 days of surgery I could start travelling by train.

We had gone to Dr. Mandar on 23rd May on the recommendation of our family doctor. Dr. Mandar was very prompt in keeping his appointment and made the patient feel at ease. He easily diagnosed the ailment and suggested a biopsy to confirm the same. Despite him going on a vacation, he co-ordinated with the hospital concerned to set up the biopsy in the next 2 days. Biopsy went off well. He was always reachable on whatsapp and we could convey the reports as and when we received them. He was prompt in responding to all our queries.
