Consulted DrRahul for toothache and he advised to go for RCT. Had done RCT to the tooth next to it. Dr advised me to go for a bridge( single cap for both teeth) , he said food will get stuck and then again I may have problems. So to avoid food getting stuck I shld go for bridge. I agreed to it as I always feel that the Dr is right even though I had to pay extra 6000 rs( 5000 for cap nd 100 for filling).So total was 17000 rs. His assistants were doing most of it and he would come and check. But when it was time for the bridge, he didn't even show it to me and just stuck it over the 2 teeth. Generally the Dr shows you the cap nd then only go ahead with it. Later on one of his assistants was trying to grind the tooth nd I wasn't comfortable with the cap. But Dr said it's ok. He said I can go back to him anytime and he will change the bridge if I am still not comfortable. I had discomfort chewing nd also the bridge( cap) was large in size. So I consulted another dentist ( Drs friend**** *** **** **** **** *** ****** ** *** *** ***** **** *** ** * ****** *** *** ** ** ****** *** So I went back to DrRahul but he was angry and there was some argument and he said i should get the bridge done from someone else nd he will refund back the 10000rs paid for the bridge but I shld sign a letter. I didn't want to go to any other Dr as I felt that I should get it done by the same Dr who has done my RCT. So again I had to go through the discomfort of breaking of the bridge nd he did some grinding and finally it was over. I was comfortable while chewing and no issues later on till few days back. I had severe pain nd I consulted a Dr in Malad( as we shifted from Hiranandani Estate,Thane). She said there is infection in the RCT ( which was done by some other dentist)and that I will have to redo RCT, So I travelled all the way back to Dr Rahul ( Hiranandani Estate) . Even he suggested that I redo the RCT and a CT scan of the tooth needs to be done (2000rs for ct scan) and then 6000 for RCT and bridge will be 10000 rs( total 18000rs). I was really shocked to hear that, as I had done the whole treatment 7 months back at rs17000 nd now again I hv to pay such a big amt. We had an argument. This tooth was fine until he broke the cap twice and replaced it. I had done the RCT few years back but never faced any issues. But Dr says that the RCT treated tooth can have infection. **** *** *** ** ****** ** ** ** *** * ******* He could have left it as it is or should have told me that there may be infection in future. But at that time he said food will get stuck and I trusted him nd paid extra money. Now he says RCT wasn't done properly. ** ** ****** **** ******** **** *** **** * ****** **** *** ****** **** ***** * **** **** *** *** ******* ***** *** * **** ******* ******** ** ****** ***** ***** ** ***** * ** *** ****** ** ** *** * **** ** *** *** *** ** **** ** * ***** ****** **** he was pissed off in the beginning itself as he had to replace the extra large bridge. ***** ** ** *** **** ****** Here I'm the unlucky one who has to go through the same pain again and pay double the amount for the same tooth. Really disappointed with the Dr. **** * ***** ********** ** *** ** ** ****** ******* **** ****** ***** ****** ** **** ******** *********** *** *** *** ******* **** *** ***** I'm a homemaker and we are normal working class people. So it's really painful to pay such a big amount on the same tooth twice *** *** **********
