Dr. Prasanna Kelkar completed his graduation from Podar Ayurvedic Medical College, one of the prestigious govt medical colleges in Mumbai. He completed his Yoga Teacher's course from Yoga Vidya Niketan, Mumbai in 1989.He worked as an observer and learned from eminent doctors at -1. Wadia Children's hospital, Mumbai; 2. Wadia Maternity Hospital, Parel, Mumbai; 3. Pediatric Neurology Dept of PD Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, with Dr. Bernard D'Souza .He also Worked as an On Board Medical Officer at Bombay High Oil Field with Various Oil Drilling companies for about eight months.He is associated with Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram since 1992. He founded Ayurved Hitaishani Trust - a registered NGO, in 2001. whichis working for health awareness in common people and propagation of Ayurveda. He is the editor of a monthly magazine " Ayurhit " published by Ayurved Hitaishani Trust.Through a collaborative project between Vanavasi Kalyan Ashram and Ayurved Hitaishani Trust, he organises monthly free Ayurvedic OPDs and camps for Tribal and rural people in Wada and Shahapur area of Thane district for last four years.His Special interest is in Ayurvedic management of Thyroid dysfunction, Coronary and other heart problems, Tuberculosis.

I went to Dr Kelkar based on a referral from a friend post 2 years of normal treatment of western medicines without a comple cure for my skin issues. Dr Kelkar explained the issue in detail post examination, approximate time to cure the problem was also shared to avoid any false expectations. I was also advised on the lifestyle changes required to control my diabetes. Even the impact of seasonal changes (monsoon, winter) was considered while giving the medicines which denotes the attention to details.
Dr. Prasanna Madhav Kelkar patiently reviewed my reports, answered all my questions, and clarified my doubts. She suggested medicines and advised a follow-up. The clinic was well maintained, she was punctual, and the whole process was smooth.
