Dr. Akshay Muley is calm, polite, and active. He explained my dental issue well and I was satisfied with the treatment. The clinic staff were friendly and cooperative, and the environment was good. The wait time was reasonable and the fee felt fair.

"I used to brush my teeth twice a day and rinse my mouth thoroughly after any meal. Not that I was obsessed with oral hygiene but because I was mortally afraid of visiting a dentist. All those drills and the numerous painful experiences narrated by my friends filled with me dread even if dental treatment fleeted through my thoughts.

A few weeks ago, I developed a pain in the left side of my jaw. I ignored it and brushed my teeth more vigorously, hoping the pain would go away by itself. A week or two of that and I started having difficulty in opening my mouth properly (for a foodie that’s a terrible thing to happen). After successfully avoiding dentists for 30 years, I realised that if I wanted to have more good food, it’s the time to consult a dentist.

For the first time in my life I met Dr. Shivani Muley the dentist and not the good friend of mine that she is.

Dr. Shivani examined me, recommended an OPG and advised a short surgery to extract the wisdom tooth that was pushing out and up from under my third molar (or like a friend put it “nature is trying to fill a gap, giving you what you sorely need... some akkal”🙄).

I shuddered at the thought of pulling my tooth out and somehow it was delayed from my side, Soon, apart from the persistent pain in my jaw, I found it difficult to chew food. I realised that without the extraction I would not be having any food at all.

I sheepishly went back to Dr. Shivani and Akshay Muley and they got me an early appointment for surgery with Dr. Vishal Dewalvar, at their clinic itself. Dr. Dewalvar Heads the Department of Dentistry at Sion Hospital. I was immediately assured that Shivani and Akshay had entrusted me in the hands of an expert. Dr. Vishal Dewalvar turned out to be an excellent dental surgeon - he first explained the procedure and then walked me through each step describing it thoroughly to calm my apprehensions and to satisfy my doubts. He was amazingly gentle while carrying out the procedure and surprisingly quick as well- I was done in under 30 minutes.

A week later, Dr. Akshay removed the stitches and my jaw was not only pain-free and I could now open it fully as well. More importantly, I could chew my favourite food properly again. (Specially Non-veg!)

I highly recommend Dr. Shivani and Akshay Muley’s dental clinic for any and all dental problems. They have best team of specialists. The two are good and more importantly they are understanding and compassionate. They have an excellently trained staff who are not only friendly but also disciplined and efficient. They all try their best to allay your apprehensions and fears and leave you, like me, with a big smile on the face and a thoroughly grateful heart.
