1. What is vertigo?
Vertigo is described as a feeling of whirling and loss of balance, especially while looking down from heights, or due to a condition that affects the inner ear.
2. What causes vertigo?
The commonest causes of vertigo are Meniere's disease; head or brain injuries; migraines; and inner ear diseases, such as benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, vestibular neuritis, inflammation of the labyrinth or vestibular nerve.
