Dr. Gautam is a wellknown orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports injuries. Initially I consulted him to have a 2nd opinion on my Right knee Discoid Miniscus tear repair. However, post the consultation I was able to clearly understand the right approach to deal with the injury and chose to be under Dr. Gautam for the full treatment. He provided a detailed explanation on the anatomy of my injured knee and the methods to treat the injury as well as the recovery expectations from this type of injuries. I have an athletic lifestyle and I undertake high intensity activies. Hence, post being on medication for few weeks I realized the requirement for a surgical repair of my right knee miniscus so as to resume full functionality as early as possible. Again, Dr. Gautam set the right expectations and gave a detailed outline of the whole procedure along with the recovery methods/expectations. Under his guidance, I chose the surgery date and went through the procedure. It was a smooth procedure with no complications and the recovery was seamless. My recovery was really fast and could walk without support/brace within a week. Now, it has been around 5 months since the surgery and I would say the knee is restored to almost 98% and I am able to undertake 98% of the high intensity activities that I would usually do. I came from Madhya Pradesh for treatment of the elbow. Dr was very professional as well as very ethical in his profession he could have easily done surgery but he suggested not to go with surgery. 10/10.
