My father had bypass surgery many years back. He is under Dr Devender's supervision for a few years. My father's heart's Ejection fraction has dropped much below the normal 60%. Dr Devender has prescribed a medicine to control EF which has worked well for about a year. Once down, EF can never be raised but with proper medicine and supervision of the cardiologist, it can be maintained at that level for may be, some years.
