I would like to respectfully offer a suggestion regarding pre-consultation protocols, particularly for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes.

In rural India, it is a well-observed pattern that patients tend to seek medical attention only when symptoms become severe or urgent. As a result, many such patients arrive at the hospital in a compromised state — and any delay in identifying a critical parameter like blood glucose can have serious consequences.

Given how accessible and cost-effective digital glucometers are today, incorporating a routine blood sugar check as part of the initial assessment for known diabetic patients would be both practical and clinically prudent. This need not add significant time or cost to the process.

This suggestion is informed by a personal experience involving my father, a diabetic patient who visited your facility after considerable delay in seeking care. Unfortunately, his blood sugar level was not checked prior to the consultation, which I feel was an important step that was overlooked.

I hope this feedback is received in the constructive spirit in which it is intended. A small addition to your intake process could have a significant positive impact on patient safety and outcomes.
