Dr. Bobby Jose

Dr. Bobby Jose is a renowned Specialist in Neuro Surgery, currently working with Medcare Royal Speciality Hospital / Medcare Hospital Sharjah l. He completed his MBBS from the Government Medical College, Alappuzha, Kerala, India and his Diplomate (DNB) in Neurosurgery from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India. He went to Japan for his Fellowship training in Interventional Neurosurgery from Fujita Health University, Japan, under the world-renowned Interventional Neurosurgeon Dr. Makato Negoro. He has also undergone extensive specialised training in microsurgery of the brain and spine, skull base surgery and also minimally invasive spine surgery, endoscopic procedures and pain management training. He is a member of the American Association of Neurosurgical Surgical (AANS), the World Stroke Organization (WSO), the Indian Stroke Association (ISA) and the Neurological Society of India (NSI).Upon returning from Japan, Dr. Jose worked at Fortis Malar Hospital and Sri Balaji Hospital both in Chennai, India as a Consultant Neurosurgeon. He then decided to make teaching his clinical career at MOSC Medical College, Ernakulam, India. So, for almost a decade he worked there as a Professor of Neurosurgery and a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Endovascular Surgeon in the Division of Vascular and Interventional Neurosurgery. Later, he became a Director of Neurosurgery at Chazhikkattu Hospital, Kerala, India before moving to the UAE. In Sharjah, he worked as a Specialist Neurosurgeon and Neuro-interventionist, Head of the Department of Neurosciences and the Deputy Medical Director of NMC Royal Hospital.His areas of expertise cover the gamut of endoscopic brain and spine surgeries, complex traumatic brain and spine injuries, brain angiograms, angioplasty, and acute stroke interventions including mechanical thrombectomy and aneurysm coiling.
