Dr. Akhila Kumar Panda

Dr Akhila Kumar Panda is a renowned neurologist at Odisha. He passed his MBBS from VSS Medical College , Burla, Sambalpur Odisha in 2004. He completed his MD degree in internal medicine from MKCG Medical college, Berhampur university in 2009 with student award. He did his Doctorate degree (DM) in Neurology from a renowned neurology center of India, Institute of human behavior and allied sciences, Delhi University. He was honored with DM student at Delhi university. He was working in various India’s prestigious institutions like BLK superficiality Hospital (New Delhi), Tata Main Hospital (Jamshedpur) and AMRI Hospitals (Bhubaneswar) as senior consultant in Department of Neurology. He did his thesis on motor neuron disease with the guidance of Emeritus professor Dr M Gouri Devi, the pioneer of Motor neuron disease in India. He is the reviewer in many international and national Neurology journals including Neurologia Croatica, Journal of Neuroscience in rural practice, Journal of clinical imaging, BMC infectious diseases. He is also an editor in a prestigious journal of APG-Austin Journal of Clinical Case Reports. He is highly academic oriented and involves in many research projects. He is one of principal investigator of Librexia International stroke trial and Tenacity phase 3 International clinical trial. Ha has done his fellowship from Harvard Medical School for Advanced Neurological Disease. He is a member of world prestigious Neurology forum like American Academy of Neurology(AAN), Indian Academy of Neurology(IAN), World stroke Organization(WSO), American Clinical Neurophysiology society(ACNS). He worked in different field with special interest in motor Neuron disease, movement disorder, Epilepsy. He was heading the stroke team at BLK super specialty Hospital at New Delhi. He has been trained with botulinum toxin injection in various movement disorder as well as Chronic migraine. He has been trained from Dr. Andrew Blumenfeld (Headache Center of The Neurology Center of Southern California) for Chronic migraine. He is the Director of NEUMED, The Center for Neurology at Bhubaneswar as well as currently working at SUM Ultimate Medicare Hospital Bhubaneswar as senior consultant and Head of Department , Neurology. He has many international and national publication to his credit.
